Karen is an experienced stylist who is popular and loved by her clients.

She has a working knowledge of various areas of the industry having started out doing shampoos and sweeping; she is now a senior stylist with a passion for excellence.

Her knowledge of techniques and products is up to date, so she can accurately advise when consulting with clients, then work to create the perfect style for them.

Apart from haircuts, Karen specialises in hair-ups for weddings and special occasions, colouring to enhance a client’s natural features, and perms.

Colleen has extensive experience in an industry that formed her professional career from a young age. Her enthusiasm for hair styling resulted in her opening Colleen’s Hair Design in Christchurch in 1979. This business is now Flicks Hair and Beauty, as Colleen stepped back from the business side of the industry to focus on the creative side.

An ideas person, Colleen has kept up with trends, and willingly shares her knowledge of techniques and styles with the team.

Colleen’s skill with cutting, combined with a welcoming smile, and ability to listen, means she has built a strong and loyal clientele.

Director/Senior Stylist

Roshni qualified as a stylist in 2010 and joined Colleen’s Hair Design as a part time salon assistant. She took opportunities to apply her learning and grow from an assistant to a hair stylist, until eventually she had her own list of loyal clients.

In 2015 Roshni purchased the salon from Colleen and began to put her mark on the business; the most noticeable was the name change to Flicks Hair and Beauty, in 2018.

Being a hands-on owner in the salon has been a rewarding experience – she is very proud that the effort applied by all the team is resulting in continuing growth.

Roshni has continued to hone her skills and knowledge and specialises in cuts, colour (including creative colour), hair-ups and, she most enjoys, fashionable cuts for men.
